On June 1, an Army soldier, identified as Tujam, was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion when an Army patrol team occupied a secret training camp and headquarters of the Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) in the Thepi para-area of Ruma Upazila (Sub-District) in Bandarban Division (Chittagong Division), reports The Dailly Star. Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release that potential IEDs are being identified and deactivated by the army's specialized team for the safety of the general public.
