The National Investigation Agency (NIA) court has declared Jaswinder Singh, alias 'Multani,' a wanted member of the proscribed terror group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), as a proclaimed offender under section 82 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in connection with the Model Jail tiffin bomb case in April 2022, reports Hindustan Times on June 2. He was the mastermind behind planting the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) outside the wall of Model Jail in Burail area of Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab and Haryana, with the intention of spreading terror and causing violence.“Multani is currently based in Germany and has a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against him”. He was in touch with pro-Khalistan operatives based in India, Pakistan and other countries, and was using them to promote violence and terror,” the spokesperson said.
