Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken possession of four villas and 6.75 acres of land belonging to Munnar Villa Vista Private Limited (MVVPL) in Munnar region in Idukki District of Kerala, as part of a money laundering investigation against Popular Front of India (PFI), reports Hindustan Times on August 5.According to ED, PFI leaders and members connected to overseas entities were involved in the development of a residential project called ‘MVVPL’ in the Munnar region. The ED suspects that the project was used as a means to "launder" money obtained from foreign countries and domestically, and also to generate funds for financing PFI's radical activities.
