On February 5, three militants of United National Liberation Front (UNLF) were arrested in separate operations in Imphal area of Imphal West District in Manipur, reports Nagaland Post. The three UNLF militants identified as Sanasam Shyamsal Meitei alias Nanao, RK Solomon alias Amon Singh and Waikhom Nganglentomba Meiteialias Gogo were arrested along with two Glock pistols with a magazine each loaded with 23 live rounds and 17 live rounds. One of the arrestees, Solomon, was staying at Myanmar since 2021 and other two have been working under him.
On February 4, a Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) militant identified as Wahengbam Momocha Singh was arrested from Tharoijam Bazar crossing under Patsoi Police Station (PS) of Imphal West District. Wahengbam who started working for KYKL in 2021, was arrested twice earlier as an active member of KCP-Noyon (KCP-N) and People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak-progressive (PREPAK-pro) in the year 2017 and 2020 respectively.
On February 3, a Kangleipak Communist Party - People’s War Group (KCP-PWG) militant was arrested during frisking and checking at Pangei under Heingang Police Station (PS) of Imphal East District. The arrestee identified as Mangsatabam Romesh Meitei alias Tonjao was directly involved in the extortion of money at various areas of Imphal east District. One .32 pistol loaded with three live rounds in a magazine, two Chinese made hand grenades and two demand letters of KCP (PWG) signed by its finance chief Wanglemba Meitei were recovered from his possession.
