Sayed Munir, the District Police Chief of Khoghyani District and three other policemen were killed during an operation in Khoghyani District of Ghazni Province on July 10, Tolo News reports. Three other policemen were wounded. “At about 1:25 am the Taliban launched a large attack on Khoghyani District in which the police chief of the district and three other policemen were killed and three more policemen were wounded,” a statement said.
Further, Provincial police officials confirmed inthe statement that the Security Forces (SFs) launched military operations in Districts of Khoghyani, Andar, Qarabagh, Muqor and the center of the province to clear the areas of Taliban militants, reports Tolo News on July 10. According to the statement, in the past 24 hours “33 Taliban were killed, and four others were wounded.” However, the statement did not provide further details about the operations.
