A member of the High Council of National Reconciliation (HCNR), Farida Momand, on May 5 said that mistrust between the political leaders, the people and the government has been the fundamental obstacle to building political consensus in the country for a long time, reports Tolo News. She warned that the peace process will be deadlocked if there is an absence of a powerful consensus between the country’s political leaders, the people and the government, adding that the gap will also lead to the emergence of a new crisis in the country.
