Two persons were arrested on July 3, for allegedly running an extortion racket in Khonsa market of Tirap District in Arunachal Pradesh, reports The Arunachal Times. The two, identified as Avilash Dutta and Ravi Chetry were running the extortion racket in the name of ‘Ravi Wangnow’ and his subordinate of National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN). 85 detonators, 150 cms of detonator wire, and the mobile phone used for carrying out the extortion activities were recovered from the duo. Avilash Dutta’s father, Tapan Dutta, who works as a contingency driver in the RWD in Longding, has also been arrested in connection with the finding of the materials used for making explosives.
