The mastermind of the 2015 Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) attack and close aide of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) ‘chief’ Hafiz Saeed, Hanzla Adnan, was killed by unidentified gunmen in the night of December 2 in Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh, reports India Today. Hanzla Adnan was shot at outside his house and four bullets were found in his body. He succumbed to his injuries on December 5. Recently, Hanzla Adnan shifted his operation base from Rawalpindi to Karachi. Hanzla Adnan was the main conspirator of the attack on a Border Security Force (BSF) convoy in Udhampur in 2015 in which two BSF soldiers were killed and 13 other personnel were injured. He had also coordinated a terror attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pampore area in 2016. The attack claimed the lives of eight CRPF soldiers and injured 22 others.
