The Maharashtra Police arrested a most wanted Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) identified as Mangaru Madavi, CPI-Maoist’s Action Team Member, a resident of Visamundi village in Bhamragad, carrying a bounty of INR 200,000 on his head from the forests of Permilli in the Aheri region in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra on October 19, reports ommcomnews.com. Madavi, a history-sheeter in Gadchiroli Police records, was directly involved in at least three murders, one encounter, attacks on Police posts or Security Forces (SFs), the brutal killing of a DeputySarpanch (head of the Panchayat, village-level local self-Government institution), and other serious offences. Besides serving as Action Team Member engaged in various terror activities, he was a senior cadre of the Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Mazdoor Sanghatana (DAKMS), said Gadchiroli Police.
