The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres shot dead a civilian identified as, Ravi Pungati (28) at Kiradtola village near Jambia-Gatta area in Etapalli Taluka (revenue sub-division) in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra on June 11, reports New Indian Express. According to the Police, a group of 15 to 20 armed Maoists stormed into Pungati's house and forcibly took him out of the village and shot him dead. The Maoists left a pamphlet near the deceased’s body in which the Bhamragarh area committee of CPI-Maoist claimed the responsibility for the killing and also labeled Pungati as a ‘Police informer’.
