One person was killed and 15 others including two children sustained injuries, when explosives attached to an electricity pole, exploded in Saddar Bazaar of Rawalpindi city (Rawalpindi District) of Punjab on June 12, reports The Express Tribune. Security officials said fire erupted after the powerful blast that caused widespread damage at the scene. According to the Police, the deceased was a vender, who used to sell vegetables near the pole, where the blast occurred. Police described the blast as an act of terrorism.
