Security Forces (SFs) arrested a man after recovering a grenade and some ammunition from his possession in Anantnag District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on March 24, reports Daily Excelsior. Police said, during patrolling at a checkpoint in Kokernag area, SFs searched a vehicle driven by Waseem Ahmad, a resident of the area, and recovered a hand grenade and 15 rounds of AK rifle from the vehicle. Waseem was arrested and a case has been registered against him.
Security Forces (SFs) launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Sopore area in Baramulla District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on March 24, reports Daily Excelsior. Official sources said, on a tip-off about the presence of militants, troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) launched a joint CASO at village Dursoo in Sopore in Baramulla District early morning. All exit points were sealed and house-to-house searches launched, however, there could not be any contact established with militants.
