Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Police arrested two people, who are brothers and one Over Ground Worker (OGW) in two separate incidents in Kupwara District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on May 20, reports Daily Excelsior. In the first incident, two people identified as Jahangir Ahmad Hajam and Abdul Hameed Hajam, residents of Khawarpara area of Tangdhar in Kupwara District were arrested by Police in a special Naka in Kupwara main market, when they were trying to escape from the spot. Police recovered six live grenades from their possession which they were supposed to provide to militants. A case has been registered in Kupwara Police Station and further investigation has been set into motion. In the second incident, Security Forces (SFs) arrested one OGW identified as Abdul Rashad Lone along with incriminating material at Dorussa area of Sogam in Kupwara District on May 20. SFs recovered arms and ammunition including three grenades and 58 rounds of AK-47 were recovered from his possession. A case is registered in Sogam Police Station and further investigation into the matter is under process.
