Suspected Bodo terrorists kill three businessmen for refusal to pay ransom at Nabari Baganpara in the Nalbari district

February 4

Seven persons, including four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, are killed and four others sustain injuries in an ambush by National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) terrorists at Lailung in the North Cachar Hills district.

Unidentified Bodo terrorists kill four civilians at Kuklung reserve forest area near Bijni in the Bongaigaon district.

Five CRPF personnel returning from Kokrajhar railway station to their base camp at Sailakati are killed as unidentified terrorists detonate a remote controlled device at Charikhola village in the Kokrajhar district.

April 18

300 cadres of the Cachar Hill People Federation (CHPF) surrender before the Assam Director General of Police at Silchar along with a large number of arms and ammunition.
