The Federal Interior Ministry on November 7 issued the notification to revoke the proscription of Tehreek e Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) after the cabinet division okayed the summary of recommendations put to it by the Federal Law Ministry, reports ARY News. The official notification followed the approval by the cabinet of the Federal Ministers that after some deliberations gave the development the final nod. The Federal Law Ministry had recommended the revocation in its summary days after the Government and TLP reached an agreement following the siege. The TLP will soon operate as legitimate mainstream political party.
Earlier, on November 6, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore granted bail to at least 39 supporters of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) as the Federal cabinet received a summary to lift the ban against the outfit, reports Samaa TV. Those who were granted bail included Maulana Farooqul Hassan, Ghulam Ghaus Baghdadi, Pir Zahirul Hassan, Maulana Sharifuddin, Engineer Hafeezullah Alvi, Maulana Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Badar Munir, Qari Ashraf, Mohammad Akbar, Muzaffar Hussain, Mohammad Umar and Muzammil Hussain. The court directed all the TLP leaders to submit bail bonds of Rs100,000 each.
