Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres attacked a Border Security Force (BSF) camp in Kanker District of Chhattisgarh reports NEWS 18 on April 24. CPI-Maoist cadres suddenly opened fire on the camp and BSF jawans also responded and retaliated. There was no loss of life during this exchange of fire and the firing has been stalled from both sides for some time, said Bastar Inspector General of Poilice (IG), Sundarraj.
Separately, CPI-Maoist cadres set ablaze 11 vehicles, which includes ten lorries and one JCB in three separate incidents in Sukma and Narayanpur Districts of Chhattisgarh on April 25, reports NEWS 18 Telugu. In the first incident, the lorry drivers were dropped off by CPI-Maoist cadres and the vehicles were being burnt in support of the bandh at Erbor Darbha Gudem in Sukma District. Another lorry was burnt near Sukma District Police Station limits of Sukma District by CPI-Maoist cadres and the local youths who went to see it were attacked with arrows and stones. In the third incident, JCB which was doing forest work in Chote Dongar area in Narayanpur District was set ablaze by CPI-Maoist cadres.
