Left-wing extremist, Naxalite organisations the People's War Group and the Maoist Communist Centre have reportedly convened a meeting in Kolkata, West Bengal on May 25 to find a way out of incessant infighting. The leadership of both the outfits feels that they have been fighting for political and territorial control instead of fighting against 'state oppression'. Among the Naxal outfits, the MCC and the PWG have worst of relations. In the last five years, at least 300 persons from both the organisations have reportedly been killed in internecine clashes.
