CPN-Maoist Centre leader Mani Thapa on June 19 said that it was possible to fulfill the demands of the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF), but did not reveal his formula to rope them in, reports The Himalayan Times. He claimed that Dahal was in close contact with the agitating UDMF and their issues were much closer to his party’s agenda. Therefore it would be easier for the party to resolve them. Thapa opined that the nation cannot move ahead without resolving the issues being raised by Madhesis and Janajatis at the earliest to ensure proper implementation of the new constitution. Bringing the UDMF to the helm could help reduce risk of non-implementation of the statute that has institutionalised the achievements of all the people’s movements so far, he said.
