The incident happened during the 24-hour statewide bandh (shutdown) called by the banned left wing extremist outfits, the Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) and People’s War Group (PWG). The extremists reportedly set ablaze the engine of a goods train between Kechki and Mongra stations and assaulted several railway personnel. In another incident, the security personnel have reportedly recovered bombs, explosives, detonators and wires near a railway track between Nawadih and Nimiadih stations in the Latehar district.
