A large quantity of arms and ammunition including one SLR with 156 rounds of ammunition, three magazines, a US made carbine, one TNT, 36 grenades, IED explosives, two coils of wires, 100 detonators, wireless sets and a sum of Rupees 14,881 in cash were recovered from their possession. According to the state Director General of Police, P.V. Samant, all the slain terrorists belonged to the ULFA's 'Action Group'. One of the slain terrorists, Pintu Bora alias Rajani is suspected to have been involved in the August 15 Independence Day bomb blast in Dhemaji.
