Two militants were injured in the incident, but were taken away by their colleagues. A Chinese grenade, two magazines of AK-47 and 60 rounds of AK series cartridges were recovered from the ambush site. Simultaneously, when the exchange of fire was continuing, another group of militants set 17 houses afire in the village. The report says, the villagers deserted the village once the militants opened fire on the headman’s house. Subsequently, the houses were torched.
