Police also recovered one 9mm pistol with 4 ammunitions and 5 bullets of AK series assault rifle from the residence of Sarmen Enghi located in village Notun Enghi Gaon.
In addition, four KPLT militants who were arrested on December 30 have been identified as Sinaram Rongphar (20), Jen Tisso (26), Sarmen Enghi (38) and Bibison Ronghang (21).

In an encounter on January 5, Police killed a suspected militant of IK Songbijit faction of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB-IKS) in the Bogijaan area along the Golaghat-Karbi Anglong border, reports The Telegraph. Two grenades, a 9mm pistol, seven rounds of cartridges and two mobile phones were recovered from the site. The suspected NDFB-IKS cadre who was killed in the encounter was identified as Birat Basumatary of Gohpur in Sonitpur District.

One person sustained serious injury when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded while he was reportedly trying to plant it at Eros Lane, near Blue Hill station in Dimapur town of Dimapur District on January 5, reports Nagaland Post. Two more IEDs were also recovered from the vehicle near the site. The injured person was identified as Longjam Ojit Meitei (30) son of L. Joykumar Meitei, from Sapinghot area, Makha Leikai Post Office Lamlong under Lamlai Police Station in Imphal East District of Manipur. Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police (SP) Dimapur, Meren Jamir told media persons that the incident was aimed at creating fear psychosis among the general public in view of the forthcoming Republic Day celebration.

The news report stated that Jeblang was involved in the killing of five Adivasis at Pakriguri in Kokrajhar on December 23, 2014 and was also involved in the killing of five Hindi-speaking people in the same District. One Ak-56 rifle, two hand grenades and 22 rounds of live ammunition were found on the slain militant, a senior Police official said.Further, the militant was also accused of the gruesome killing of Bodo teenager, Priya Basumatary (16). Rinen Basumatary had surrendered after the Operation All Clear in 2003 but rejoined the NDFB-IKS two years back, the sources said. Inspector-General of Police (IGP- BTAD) L.R. Members of Sadar Hills ADC condemned the attack on Kipgen. The Sangai Express further adds that according to Thangjamang Kipgen an unknown person, suspected to be a Kuki, came to his house at Quarter Number A/IV, Langol Games Village, Zone-III and asked the ADC Member for some money to refuel his vehicle. As Thangjamang refused to give money, the man pulled out a small arm and fired. ADC member added that although he has not received any monetary demand from any militant outfits, he earlier had some threats from Kuki militant groups regarding the election of ADC Chairman.

According to West Garo Hills Police, a former militant of the Breakaway faction of Achik National Volunteer Council (ANVC-B), identified as Silgrak Sangma was arrested on February 4 near the Nehru Park area in Danakgre in West Garo Hills in connection with the abduction. A 9 mm pistol with five live rounds of ammunition was also recovered from his possession. The former militant had come to pick up the ransom in exchange for Rafique, along with two others who managed to escape. Later an amount of INR 500000 meant as ransom was also recovered from the family of the victim. It is unclear if any ransom was paid to the abductors.

The women were protesting the bomb blast, which happened on February 5 which killed one person and the gunfight between Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) and Isak-Muivah faction of National Socialist Council of Nagaland NSCN-IM on February a place between Nambashi and Nambashi Khunou in Ukhrul. RPF stated that the NSCN-IM is never considered as an enemy but it would counter any threat to Manipuri's unity through tough political and military strategies, reports E-pao on February 10. According to a statement of RPF issued by its ‘publicity secretary’ Roben Khuman the outfit is always ready to have talks with NSCN-IM, if the later wants. One 7.62 mm SLR with magazine, 20 cartridges of 7.62 mm ammunition, two country-made pistols and a hand-grenade, among other things were recovered from their possession. One rebel has been identified as Sonyram Soren, the right-hand man of Framjeet, alias Dadiya, NSLA area 'commander' of Kashiabari. The other two are Shivlal Hembrom and Dhub Kisku. The linkman has been identified as Roshan Murmu. The Sentinel reported on March 13 that NSLA is trying to regroup. The NSLA has been blamed for several kidnappings and extortion drives in Alipurduar and Coochbehar areas of West Bengal. An Army official stated, “We have observed heightened activities of Adivasi militants. Security forces are working to nip these in the bud.” NSLA is a splinter group of another tribal outfit Adivasi People’s Army (APA), active among plantation workers in Bodoland Territorial Council (BTAD).

The operation was carried out on the basis of intelligence input that four to five AMEF terrorists were present in a camp in Petchong Jonksi in North Garo Hills. When chased by the AR party, the fleeing gunmen lobbed a grenade but it failed to explode. Kohima Police and AR party rushed to the site and recovered the unexploded grenade reported to be of Chinese make along with 11 empty shells of 9 mm calibre. A team from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) also rushed to the site and later diffused it. Soon after the incident, a massive combing operation was launched in the capital by Kohima Police and AR. Security forces have confirmed the involvement of NSCN-K in the incident. Security Forces (SFs), in a joint operation, on April 26 busted a major hideout of IK Songbijit faction of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB-IKS) in the thick jungles of Ripu Forest, near the Indo-Bhutan border, in Kokrajhar District, reports The Sentinel. Defence Public Relation Officer (PRO) Leutinent Colonel Suneet Newton said that during the search operation an encounter took place with NDFB (S) cadres. It is suspected that the senior hierarchy of NDFB-IKS, involved in the Adivasis massacre on December 23, 2014, was in the group with whom contact was established. Newton said that the operation is continuing and a massive hunt is in progress in Ripu Reserve Forest by Army. “So far three AK-47 rifles, four grenades, around 500 rounds of AK-47 and other war like stores have been recovered,” he said.

According to NSCN-IM, the killed NSCN-IM militant has been identified as 'corporal' Illumei Jack and the killed ZUF militant as DP Akhomlung. It is also said that 800 rounds of AK-47 rifle, one lethod gun and one hand grenade belonging to ZUF were recovered from the site of the clash. Nagaland Post further adds that four militants were injured too. Both groups have been engaged in series of clash since 2011 in the region.

The lone IK Songbijit faction of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB-IKS) militant was arrested from Kokrajhar while two militants belonging to Muslim United Liberation Tiger of Assam (MULTA) were arrested from Fakirganj area of Dhubri. The NDFB-IKS militant was identified as Jwngdao Basumatary. One 9mm factory-made pistol, one magazine and three rounds of 9mm ammunition were recovered from his possession. Two 9mm country-made pistols, live ammunition and other war like stores were recovered during the operation involving the MULTA duo.

One Chinese hand grenade, one out-pass slip issued by KK Nganba of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP- Nganba). and other incriminating articles were seized from the possession of Mayanglambam ongbi Victoria Devi. One out pass slip issued by KK Nganba of KCP was also seized from the possession of Baspatimayum Lakhikumar Sharma. Investigation revealed that they are active cadres of KCP- KK Nganba which is under Suspension of Operation (SoO) with the Government. However, they were working for the PREPAK also, and they came to Sekmaijin for recruiting new cadres for PREPAK.
